The vehicle's car hire insurance is subject to an insurance excess value : When you collect the car hire at Monastir Airport, you'll be asked to leave a credit card deposit to the value of the car hire excess : (Depending on the type of car you select) between EUR 1000.00 and EUR 2000.00. Providing you return the vehicle undamaged at the end of the car hire, this value is returned to your credit card in full. In the unlikely event that you damage the car hire vehicle, your maximum liability is limited to the car hire insurance excess value. Local car hire taxes & airport charges.
Our car hire rates at Monastir Airport are fully inclusive of local sales taxes (18.00% in Tunisia).
Arrival times for your car hire.
Our car hire rates include service on arrival at Monastir Airport within normal office hours (08:00-17:00). If your flight arrives outside these times, there is a surcharge of EUR 50.00. This car hire surcharge is payable locally on arrival at Monastir Airport.

Fuel is not included at Monastir Airport!
The fuel that you consume during your car hire is obviously not included in our our published car hire rates! On arrival at Monastir Airport, you will be asked to prepay a full tank of fuel. At the end of the hire, simply return the car hire vehicle back to the car hire station at Monastir Airport as empty as possible.
Insurance Excess deposit.
As explained above in What's Included, the car hire vehicle's insurance at Monastir Airport is subject to an car hire insurance excess deposit (depending on the type of car hire vehicle you select) between EUR 1000.00 and EUR 2000.00. Providing you return the car hire vehicle undamaged, this value is refunded to your credit card in full. In the unlikely event that you damage the car hire vehicle, your maximum liability is limited to the deposit paid.

Lost car hire vehicle keys.
Vehicle keys are chip-coded and are costly and timely items to replace. If you lose the car hire vehicle's key, you will be obliged to pay for its replacement (approximately EUR 120.00) plus any associated transport costs in connecting you with a new vehicle key. More importantly, your holiday car hire at Monastir Airport may be seriously affected while you wait for a new key to be prepared for your car hire vehicle. Please take good care of the car hire vehicle key while you're on holiday in Tunisia!
Off-road or negligent use.
Our car hire vehicles at Monastir Airport are rented for use on the public highways of Tunisia. They cannot be used off-road. Although a very rare ocurrance, we'd like you to be aware that damage to the underside of the car hire vehicle, frequently caused by negligent driving or off-road use at Monastir Airport (we have had occasion to have to lift car hire vehicles out of dried-up river beds!) is your responsibility. Drunk driving a hire car is considered negligent use.
Traffic fines.
Traffic fines, speeding tickets incurred at the wheel of your car hire vehicle at Monastir Airport are at your own risk.
Vehicle glass & locks.
It is a sad reality that in most holiday resorts in Tunisia, auto-theft is a day-to-day ocurrance. If you park up the car hire vehicle with personal items inside and, as a consequence, the glass or locks are damaged in an attempt to steal your personal effects, you will be responsible for the associated repair costs to the car hire vehicle. We strongly recommend that you park the vehicle in supervised car parks/garages in the major cities and never leave any personal item inside the car hire vehicle.
The following items can be added to your car hire reservation for Monastir Airport in Tunisia :
Child seats
Child seats are suitable for young children from approximately 6 months of age until 2-3 years of age. Child seats are supplied for car hire vehicles from Monastir Airport on request. There is a charge of EUR 5.00 per day for these seats which is payable on arrival at Monastir Airport. You must reserve babyseats at the same time as you reserve your car hire.
Booster Seats
Booster seats are suitable for young children from approximately 2 years until 5 years of age. Booster seats are supplied for car hire vehicles from Monastir Airport on request. There is a charge of EUR 5.00 per day for these seats which is payable on arrival at Monastir Airport. You must reserve babyseats at the same time as you reserve your car hire.
Additional Drivers
You may add additional drivers to your car hire on arrival in Monastir Airport. These are payable locally at Monastir Airport at EUR 10.00 per rental.
Out-of-hours charges at Monastir Airport
For arrivals at Monastir Airport outside of normal office hours (08:00-17:00), there is a supplement of EUR 50.00 payable on arrival in Tunisia. For arrivals late at night you must provide us with your arrival flight number into Monastir Airport so the local car hire station can coordinate it's office hours at Monastir Airport.
