The vehicle's car hire insurance is subject to an insurance excess value : When you collect the car hire at Boras, you'll be asked to leave a credit card deposit to the value of the car hire excess : (Depending on the type of car you select) between SEK 2000.00 and SEK 3200.00. Providing you return the vehicle undamaged at the end of the car hire, this value is returned to your credit card in full. In the unlikely event that you damage the car hire vehicle, your maximum liability is limited to the car hire insurance excess value. Local car hire taxes & delivery charges.Our car hire rates at Boras are fully inclusive of local sales taxes (25.00% in Sweden). In accordance with local legislation, car hire drivers are obliged to pay SEK 12.50 per day. Road fund recovery taxes must be paid on arrival at Boras in accordance with local tax laws in Sweden. Fuel is not included at Boras!The fuel that you consume during your car hire is obviously not included in our our published car hire rates! On arrival at the Boras car hire station, you will collect the car hire vehicle with a full tank of fuel against a credit card deposit. At the end of the car hire, return the car hire vehicle with a full tank to Boras to get a refund.
Insurance Excess deposit.As explained above in What's Included, the car hire vehicle's insurance at Boras is subject to an car hire insurance excess deposit (depending on the type of car hire vehicle you select) between SEK 2000.00 and SEK 3200.00. Providing you return the car hire vehicle undamaged, this value is refunded to your credit card in full. In the unlikely event that you damage the car hire vehicle, your maximum liability is limited to the deposit paid.

Lost car hire vehicle keys.Vehicle keys are chip-coded and are costly and timely items to replace. If you lose the car hire vehicle's key, you will be obliged to pay for its replacement (approximately SEK 100.00) plus any associated transport costs in connecting you with a new vehicle key. More importantly, your holiday car hire at Boras may be seriously affected while you wait for a new key to be prepared for your car hire vehicle. Please take good care of the car hire vehicle key while you're on holiday in Sweden!
Off-road or negligent use.Our car hire vehicles at Boras are rented for use on the public highways of Sweden. They cannot be used off-road. Although a very rare ocurrance, we'd like you to be aware that damage to the underside of the car hire vehicle, frequently caused by negligent driving or off-road use at Boras (we have had occasion to have to lift car hire vehicles out of dried-up river beds!) is your responsibility. Drunk driving a hire car is considered negligent use.
Traffic fines.Traffic fines, speeding tickets incurred at the wheel of your car hire vehicle at Boras are at your own risk.
Vehicle glass & locks.It is a sad reality that in most holiday resorts in Sweden, auto-theft is a day-to-day ocurrance. If you park up the car hire vehicle with personal items inside and, as a consequence, the glass or locks are damaged in an attempt to steal your personal effects, you will be responsible for the associated repair costs to the car hire vehicle. We strongly recommend that you park the vehicle in supervised car parks/garages in the major cities and never leave any personal item inside the car hire vehicle.
