All required car hire insurances
All required car hire vehicle insurances like 3rd party responsibility, CDW (Collision Damage Waiver), TW (Theft Waiver) and Bail Bond (where applicable) are included in our rates. The vehicle's car hire insurance is subject to an insurance excess value : When you collect the car hire at Kompas Bled, you'll be asked to leave a credit card deposit to the value of the car hire vehicle's insurance excess : EUR 310.00. Providing you return the car hire car undamaged at the end of the rental, this value is returned to your credit card in full. In the unlikely event that you damage the car hire vehicle, your maximum liability is limited to the EUR 310.00 you paid as a deposit. The insurance excess for each car at Kompas Bled is explained in detail in our section What's Not Included?

Our car hire rates at Kompas Bled are fully inclusive of local sales taxes (20.00% in Slovenia).
Arrival times for your car hire.
Our car hire rates include collection of your car hire inside normal office hours at Kompas Bled.
Additional drivers
Included in our car hire rates for Kompas Bled is one free extra driver on every car hire. At Kompas Bled, the normal minimum driver age applied by car hire companies is 21 of age, with a minimum of two years driving licence experience. If any would-be driver is aged under 21 (or is aged over 70) at the start of the car hire at Kompas Bled, please confirm via e-mail with your car hire reservations agent.

Fuel is not included at Kompas Bled!
The fuel that you consume during your car hire is obviously not included in our our published car hire rates! On arrival at Kompas Bled, you will be asked to prepay a full tank of fuel. At the end of the hire, simply return the car hire vehicle back to the car hire station at Kompas Bled as empty as possible.
Insurance Excess deposit.
As explained above in What's Included, the vehicle's car hire insurance at Kompas Bled is subject to an car hire insurance excess deposit of EUR 310.00. Providing you return the car undamaged to Kompas Bled at the end of the car hire period, this value is refunded to your credit card in full. In the unlikely event that you damage the car hire vehicle, your maximum liability is limited to the EUR zzexcessminvalue you paid as a deposit for the car hire vehicle.
Insurance Excess values for Kompas Bled

Lost car hire vehicle keys.
Vehicle keys are chip-coded and are costly and timely items to replace. If you lose the car hire vehicle's key, you will be obliged to pay for its replacement (approximately EUR 100.00) plus any associated transport costs in connecting you with a new vehicle key. More importantly, your holiday car hire at Kompas Bled may be seriously affected while you wait for a new key to be prepared for your car hire vehicle. Please take good care of the car hire vehicle key while you're on holiday in Slovenia!
Off-road or negligent use.
Our car hire vehicles at Kompas Bled are rented for use on the public highways of Slovenia. They cannot be used off-road. Although a very rare ocurrance, we'd like you to be aware that damage to the underside of the car hire vehicle, frequently caused by negligent driving or off-road use at Kompas Bled (we have had occasion to have to lift car hire vehicles out of dried-up river beds!) is your responsibility. Drunk driving a hire car is considered negligent use.
Traffic fines.
Traffic fines, speeding tickets incurred at the wheel of your car hire vehicle at Kompas Bled are at your own risk.
Vehicle glass & locks.
It is a sad reality that in most holiday resorts in Slovenia, auto-theft is a day-to-day ocurrance. If you park up the car hire vehicle with personal items inside and, as a consequence, the glass or locks are damaged in an attempt to steal your personal effects, you will be responsible for the associated repair costs to the car hire vehicle. We strongly recommend that you park the vehicle in supervised car parks/garages in the major cities and never leave any personal item inside the car hire vehicle.
The following items can be added to your car hire reservation for Kompas Bled in Slovenia :
Baby Seats
Baby seats are suitable for new-born babies until approximately 6 months of age. Baby seats are normally available on car hire vehicles from Kompas Bled on request. There is a charge of EUR 5.00 per day for these seats which is payable on arrival at Kompas Bled. You must reserve babyseats at the same time as you reserve your car hire.
Child seats
Child seats are suitable for young children from approximately 6 months of age until 2-3 years of age. Child seats are supplied for car hire vehicles from Kompas Bled on request. There is a charge of EUR 5.00 per day for these seats which is payable on arrival at Kompas Bled. You must reserve babyseats at the same time as you reserve your car hire.
Roof Racks
Roof racks are available for some car hire vehicles at Kompas Bled. There is a charge of EUR 5.00 per day which is payable on arrival at the car hire station at Kompas Bled. If you require a roof rack, please ensure it is included in your car hire Quote request/booking from the outset.
Additional Drivers
Included in our car hire rates for Kompas Bled is one free extra driver on every car hire. At Kompas Bled, the normal minimum driver age applied by car hire companies is 21 of age, with a minimum of two years driving licence experience. These are payable locally at Kompas Bled at EUR 3.00 per day.
Buy-out of the Vehicle's Insurance Excess
The car hire vehicles at Kompas Bled are sold with an insurance excess. This is explained in the section Whats's Not Included? above.Instead of leaving a credit card deposit to cover your car hire insurance excess at Kompas Bled, you may opt to purchase additional insurance locally to "buy-out" the excess value - effectively removing your liability for vehicle bodywork damage. This option, depending on the car hire vehicle selected, costs between EUR 4.00 and EUR 4.00 per per day. You do not need to prebook insurance excess buy-out, simply decide and pay locally on arrival at the car hire station in Kompas Bled when you arrive in Slovenia.
Purchasing insurance excess buy-out is not a "licence to kill" and you will still be responsible for items like tyre, wheel, glasss or damage to the underside of the car hire vehicle. The car hire company may still require you to leave a credit card imprint to cover extensions to your car hire contract or traffic fines. See our section What's Not Included for further details.
